The IV Coquimbo Region is a very beautiful and interesting touristic area. On the coast, the perfect white sand beaches and the wonderful warm and stable weather make it the preferred destination of many Chileans. Numerous bays and small ports along the coast provide a great infrastructure for sunny vacations all year long, with lots of cabins for rent. The dry and hot weather in the interior valleys has transformed these areas into a major center for astronomy in the southern hemisphere thanks to perfect climatic conditions.
Not to be forgotten, the Pisco Elqui Valley where you can discover the vineyards and all the techniques that make the famous Chilean Pisco liquor. The capital of this region is La Serena, a major tourism center in Northern Chile.
